About

The conference began as a small meetup in a bookshop and has grown into a two day event for several hundred people. The programme is still chosen by a volunteer committee.

We accept talks through an open call and review them without names. Around half of our speakers are first time presenters.

Our code of conduct applies to everyone: speakers, attendees, volunteers and sponsors. We want everyone to feel welcome and safe.

The venue is accessible, with quiet rooms, live captions and vegetarian and vegan catering throughout.
